Treking to Tamur River in Nepal

Welcome.  I'm glad you visited my site!  I have been capturing the beauty of the outdoors for many years.  Now, I hope you will enjoy my photos and share my site with your friends.  After many years of giving my photos to very appreciative friends, I've decided to make them available to others.  Each of the photos on this site is for sale, in a variety of sizes.   The photos will change frequently, so please check back often.

I took my first photo in the late 60's of my mother on a ski hill in northern Wisconsin. In the late 1980's, I started taking lots of river photos when I bought a Nikon Actiontouch waterproof camera. I graduated to hauling Pelican boxes with SLRs a few years ago.  My photos have been featured in Paddler, Canoe & Kayak, American Whitewater, Kanu, Southeastern Outdoor Recreation, and River magazines.  Additionally, my photos have been published in Monte Smith's Southeastern Whitewater and Susan Taft's The River Chasers.  My photos won the Best Still Image at the 1999 and 2000 National Paddling Film Festivals.  My documentary slide show on Nepal won the Best of the NPFF Accomplished Division in 2001 and my Powerpoint show "America's Most Scenic Rivers" won the Best Professional Documentary at the 2002 NPFF.

These days I can often be found with three cameras loaded in my open canoe, paddling rivers from the Grand Canyon of the Colorado to the Grand Canyon of Switzerland (Flims Gorge of the Vorderrheim) or my favorite southeastern classics, the Tellico and Chattooga Rivers.

Thanks again for visiting my site,
Julie Keller
